Introduced during a period when Audemars Piguet was pushing the Royal Oak Offshore in a bolder, more contemporary direction, the rubber/gold model for sale here became an instant favorite thanks to its unique pairing of precious metal luxury and sporty practicality. This example pairs a robust pink gold case with a rubber-clad bezel, crown, and chronograph pushers. The use of rubber softened the visual impact of the gold while making the watch feel more modern and versatile. This example also features the desirable black date disc configuration found on models produced between 2011 and 2013, a detail many enthusiasts specifically look for. The grey Méga Tapisserie dial is very Audemars Piguet.
